Platinum at the Marcom Awards

We don’t know what it’s like to have a record go platinum, but our promotional video for Concordia University just won Platinum at the Marcom Awards!
The three minute promotional video « Defining The New Generation University », was chosen among 6,000 entries from over 34 countries.
Concordia University is very big on using video in creative ways – from student video bloggers to promotional videos for recruiting students. Executive Director of Concordia’s Communication Services Sami Antaki says the video has also been shown before speeches given by Concordia President Alan Shepard to various audiences locally, nationally and internationally. It’s also garnered nearly 10 000 views on YouTube.
And what exactly are The Marcom Awards? They are an international competition recognizing the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials. Entries hail from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, designers and production companies. The awards focus on acknowledging exceptional creativity and craft.
